  • New Year's Resolutions

    1. Get out more / exercise more.
    2. Make one piece of art a day.
    3. Make everyone I meet smile.
    4. ______________________ - will hopefully be the result of the other 3.

So glad grad apps are done. I wonder which school I forgot to send a GRE score to...

I think I'll just resend the scores to Caltech and UCSD.

  • University of Wisconsin, Madison

The University of Wisconsin application is really crappy. It's split into two parts, and you must wait 24 hours or more after completing the first part until you can even access the second part.

In 10 minutes, 24 hours will have passed.

Whoever is reading my blog and then communicating facts contained within it to my dad - stop! I don't know why, but I don't want my parents to find my blog.

  • Flickr

Flickr now offers UNLIMITED space and uploads.

    That's just crazy.

Free users still have unlimited space, but uploads are limited to 100 MB per month.

The following picture is hosted on my flickr account:

Yep, that's 12:30 AM - just got off work, heading home.

  • I just randomly decided to look up BoA's birthday and she's younger than I am! November 5, 1986!

I feel like such a slacker now.

  • Woot!

I'm getting a bonus for being a good Google Ambassador =)

    Dear Kevin,

Thank you for helping spread the word to your peers about the Google Gadget Awards several weeks ago. We really appreciate your efforts. And...

Congratulations! The University of Washington was in the top 20% of schools with gadgets submitted to the awards.

To thank you for your hard work...

  • The Future

EDIT: Forgot the most important option, option 0.

    Future Options:

    0. Get a girlfriend.
    1. PhD
    2. MS
    3. Start a startup
    4. Join a startup
    5. Google/Microsoft
    6. Help Dad's China biz
    7. Help Mom's real estate biz
    8. Take a break and travel the world

    Progress:

    0. You gotta start somewhere.
    1. PhD apps will be completed by Jan 1. - I missed the Maryland application by 1 minute ARGGGG. There is still umbc though - I wish my advisor was more clear on which one to apply to.
    2. MS is the default fallback if I don't get into a PhD program.
    3. I've registered my first business. Don't know what I'm going to do with it yet.
    4. I have developed ties with a startup in Silicon Valley. I got to ride in a Porsche =)
    5. I have applied to both Google and Microsoft, although after a bunch of interviews, Google wants me to reapply later, and Microsoft hasn't looked at my resume yet.
    6. My Chinese isn't very good, and his isn't either. Uh oh. =/
    7. We're potentially expanding into LA =)
    8. Well, I have a car. It's a start!
